Now for sale BECAUSE I wasn't willing to buy rear drag brakes and feel the grinding was too extreme for even the LT1 rear calipers. These would be great for S10s, blazers, old school gm cars, 5 lug mustangs (because it is dual bolt pattern dictated by which washer you use, center or offset).

Update
I'm man enough to admit it.
Thanks to all the guys who PMd me out of concern for the fitment of these wheels.
First, all of the brake failures I'm aware of after extreme caliper grinding are LS1 rears. They have the huge hole in the caliper design which makes them weaker to grinding. Plus, the rotor is bigger adding for the need of extra grinding.
However, i don't feel safe w/ the amount of grinding I did. The wheels are coming off and going to be sold cheap. THey'll fit mustangs w/ the dual-by-washer offset bolt pattern. I'll sell them to a mustang guy or a drum brake GM car (cutlass/monte/etc).
Guys, my kids ride in this car. Drag brakes don't make sense as I drive it a good bit. New LT1 calipers are going on this week, street wheels back on, and punt for new drag setup later.
After sleeping on it...just can't wheel this way, too dangerous.
Those fins on the caliper are there for structural support of the exterior of the caliper, not for cooling or looks. Once those are gone its just the thin aluminum facing holding it together.
Not a wise idea. A little trim is one thing, but the amount of material I took off to fit is not.
If I'd read on here I would have known, but was hard headed.
Thanks guys.

I had to grind for my rear pro stars..though i didnt take off as much as you. I sometimes wonder if i'll ever have a problem. Seems to be alot of people have done it with no trouble. What would be needed to put LT1 calipers on the rear of my car? I picked up a LT1 set and an extra LS1 set for $10 each Thought maybe they would clear without grinding. Or i've even considered just switching the grinded brakes for the untouched ones when the street wheels are on.

Now...lots of guys put lt1 rear brakes on 98+ cars because most drag wheels fit w/ little or no grinding. If running 15s I'd suggest LT1 rear b/c there's virtually no danger in the amt of small trimming you'd do.
If you find yourself getting into the "fins" on the backside of the caliper you've gone too far. A little off the front, no big deal.
