it had to be a misprint. its not like autozone is such a classy company. i went to my local store with the part number. it came up full price, but even their vendors were out of stock, so if they had any to order, it would be at full price anyway.

Yea they were out. I got the vendor number and called. They sent out the last batch they had to some autozone (she said call back tomorrow to find out which one). Going to call today and find out which autzone has them and give them a ring. I doubt I'll get them for that price, they'll probably just say sorry its a misprint.

All the info is off. Some say it's 389.99 and weighs 21.5 lbs and the next one would say 429.99 with a weight of 1.24 for example. I'm guessing it's a typo and meant to say 399.99 instead of 39.99. I worked in retail for awhile and if a price was advertised incorrectly, the store had to sell it at the incorrect price. Anyone head down to Autozone? I might tomorrow.
This came up recently where a Best Buy television that runs for ~$999 was accidentally listed for ~$9.99. It was obviously a typo and the store returned everyone's money that insisted on ordering online (as if they thought they were going to get a 42"+ plasma TV for the price of a 12 pack of beer).

There's one exception to that rule. If the listed price is so low that no reasonable person could possibly believe it's true, the store doesn't have to honor the listing. This is clearly the case here. No one could seriously expect that a wheel that should be $300+ would be going for $30. Now if it were on ebay and the price of $30 was listed over and over again...that's a different story.

Some people like to take "the customer is always right" a little bit too far. In my last job...I used to say "this isn't Burger King...you don't get it your way."
