^ I check air pressure every other day unless a tire looks low. I have never run the tires on lower than 34psi (i have a digital psi tester) I agree that pic up top looks bald but it is just the low pixel range of my blackberry. I have no explanation for the blow out other than a manufacturing defect

Wow kinda hard to beleave I have had three sets of 285/35-18's onthe rear of my Vette have run as fast as 170MPH many times with no problems at all, the last set I got 25000 miles out of them & I have a lead foot .
You know it is posible you ran over something on the road that comprimssed the side wall of the tire I have sean this happen in the past.
But any way I would check on getting an ajustment from tire rack.
