Default Abs/TCS Inop

I just put some y2k corvette rims on my 95 firebird formula and when i reach 25 mph my abs and tcs turn off, i also had to grind the abs exciter ring a little to get new studs into the hub. Soo are the rims causing the problem?

DO A SEARCH!!!! Just messing with you... looked on here a bit and im pretty sure that changing tire sizes can throw it off. with your stock wheels in back you went from 25.6 od to a 26.6 od with the new wheels. Maybe someone on here a little more experienced can go into depth with this. Could also be that one of the sensors is too close the the wheel / hub.

Tire sizes on your old wheel, and now on your new ones? You will throw the ABS sensors off if your rear tires are a different overall diameter than your fronts, most likely the case.

I agree that if you are running different size front and rear this is something you will have to live with. The ring will be on axles in salvage yards. I have a bent axle with one but I am not sure I could get it off without destroying it. For probably $100 salvage part I would just replace the whole axle.
