i bought 295s all around, but oe wheels forgot to include the valve stems. just got them in the mail. hope to get a trial fit up this weekend.

going to try 5/16 and 7/16 spacers for starters and see what happens. won't drive with those, but since they are cheap, should work well for checking fit.

i saw you said you were running 1/4" machined spacers. can you post a link for where you got them please?

also, can you post some pics of how the tires/wheels fit the wheel wells? are they flush with the upper fender/quarter panel, or are they slightly recessed?

thanks
tony

1/4" spacers on the 18x10.5 with 56mm offset will still be very recessed. Nowhere near flush. Like I said, I just put on 1" spacers, with 295's, and now they are flush in the rear.

tried the 5/16" spacers out front and rear.
could barely get my finger between the knuckle and rim up front and seemed to be adequate clearance in the rear.

auto parts store didn't have the 7/16" in stock like they told me on the phone they DID have in stock....jerks! so didn't try out the 7/16" yet.

either way, definitely need longer studs.

anyone else have any luck?

just how much clearance do you need?????

thanks

i believe the answer is arp 2.5" studs.

hopefully someone else will comment here too.

still curious to see what spacers others are running for the fronts and rears too, with a lowered car.

can you post a pic of the front and rear looking down the side of the car?

tried 5/16" front and rear and they looked pretty far out there!

thanks

Here are a couple of pics with 25mm spacers in the rear. The other pics in my 'fall pics' album are with 7/16" spacers if you wanna make a comparison. I would try to get better pics but as you can see this cars not goin anywhere for a bit. I still need to adjust the phb to move the body to the drivers side about 1/8" as well.

Nah, 1/4" spacers should be fine for clearance. I just hate the tucked look. After I adjust the phb it should only tuck in 1/4 inch if not less.

i have the 295/35/18 and 335/30/ 18 on mine... have the 18x10.5 c5 DD... and im not running any spacers yet, and just had to do the BFH... i think all i need is a 1/2-3/4 in spacer to bring mine out to be flush

Yea def, with 335's i'm sure all you need is a 7/16" spacer to be flush.

Well got the wheels and tires mounted and balanced and test fitted and suprisingly the rears fit without an issue! The fronts needed a 5/16in. spacer and longer studs and fit so far.

I have not driven the vehicle yet cause I'm waiting on more stude from the parts store but have run into a major issue on the front..... On hard turns all the way from lock to lock the tires do not clear the front bumper and wheel wells. I had to take the ground fx off of the front to gain more clearance but still have to do something about the well and bumper edge.

Anyone else run into this issue?

got any pics yet?

i will need at least the 5/16 spacers for the rears, not sure of the fronts yet.

i've been sick, so haven't done any work lately. hopefully will be working on the car some tomorrow.
