Default What do you think? CCW LM20's?

Car is 2002 Camaro, painted audi black pearl metallic. Gotta get new rims. Was thinking of the CCW LM20's. Probably 18x10 fronts and 18x11 rears?

Since I can get any width/size rim, what would you get?
I need it to fit on my car (lowered with Strano Springs)
Going to have the fenders rolled before paint
How wide could I go & What size tire could I fit?
Last, Do you like the rims? Any other suggestions? I was thinking getting in polished.

Apparently I can get a 2.5-3" lip on the 11's and about a 1.5" lip on the 10's in front. Like I said, open to any and all suggestions/criticism.

I think "mesh" style rims look best on a TA. On a Camaro I think you need to go with a 5 to 6 spoke wheel with a lip. And I say go with an 18 all around.

17 would be lighter than 18. Are you going to finish the rim in a color? Black with a red stripe may be? Or a gunmetal grey?

I'm very torn between the mesh vs. spoke style rims. I have trouble getting anything other than the c5 deep dish from OE wheels due to the price. The other major debate I have is color. I have everything on the car shaved now (no "Camaro" in the rear, no side markers, no molding, etc.), so I don't know how black will look.

The LM20s are pretty sick!

I was trying to decide between 505As, Classics, SP500s or LM20s. Unfortunately, it looks like I have to go with LM20s since none of the other ones can be made with a lip as wide as I'm wanting.

Yea, I love the big lip. I'm just having a tough time dropping 4000+ on rims and tires vs. 1500 on replicas and tires.

those are definitely some nice looking wheels....however, there are a few things you should seriously consider before dropping massive amounts of cash on something like this.

1) do you really need 18" wheels? 17" wheels are going to be lighter (and therefore, rob less power), and tires for 17" wheels will be a lot less expensive....so if this is a daily driver, you're gonna be going through tires more often than you would on a weekend warrior, so this will add up somewhat quickly, especially if you buy softer compound tires for better traction. also, since 17" wheels are lighter, your shocks will not have to work as hard to control them when you go over bumps, and the sidewall on 17" wheels will give you a bit of extra cushion between the wheels and the road, to help absorb shock a bit better......and 17" wheels themselves should also be less expensive.

2) can you maintain the cleaning/polishing on a wheel like this? polished wheels definitely require much more maintenance than a chrome, painted, or powdercoated wheel in order to keep them looking their best. think: polished once every month or two, with a regular cleaning every week or two. this is much more difficult and time-consuming on these "webbed" style wheels than it is on solid 5-spoke wheels. a lot of people have underestimated the amount of work required to keep polished wheels looking their best, and have switched to chrome, painted, or powdercoated wheels because of it.

3) can you afford a replacement wheel? if you curb one or more of your wheels and damage them beyond repair, can you afford a replacement?

as for the tire/wheel size & fitment, check this sticky thread for all the information you should need to make an informed decision.

and as far as the width of wheels you want to get, well, that depends on what your intentions are for the car. is it just a daily driver, or is it a drag car, or an auto-x car, or some combination of any/all of the above? for just a daily driver, i personally stuck with 17x9.5 wheels on all 4 corners with 275-40/17 tires. if it's a drag car, you may want to stick with skinnier tires up front with the widest tires you can fit out back (like 17x8 up front with 17x11 out back). for an auto-x car, you want the widest tires you can fit in all 4 corners, with softer compound tires. if it's a combination of any/all, buy based on the most important use of the car.

Not an issue of having $$, just spending it I think 11's in back and 10's in front is a good compromise for a weekend warrior for canyon carving and performance (427, konis, watts, bla bla bla). Good point about the polished. Won't see too many miles though since it isn't the DD. I might want to consider chrome. Any suggestions for a different wheel other than CCW that doesn't run 3k?

here's something similar, but only about $2600/set (vs. $4k/set), but the smallest size they come in is 18"....which is what you were looking at, but if you decided on 17" instead, it doesn't appear they offer them, at least not at discounttiredirect

you can also just google mesh wheels in a google images search and see what you can find

Their really nice looking rims and are very simular to the Fisky 10;s that i was looking at a few years ago but decided against em because theyde be a real bitch to keep clean my man with those really small spaces in there,,, where your fingers wont fit LOL and is why i went with the CCW 505a's. I can clean or polish every part of this rim when im not being lazy LOL Then again,,, ive got really big fingers and think thats why the wife married me LOL

I think I'm going to have my MWC 9" narrowed by Eric since I still have the chance. I'm thinking 2" so I can get a bigger lip on the rears, maybe 5" or so. Still thinking the LM20s. car will be weekend warrior.

The mesh style wheels tend to "look" smaller due to where the wheel pattern ends and the rim bolts start, so personally, i think the 18's will look better than the 17's.

Car should be back in 2 weeks or so from paint. Had a lot of body work being done on the car including shaving stuff. I'll be sure to post progress once the car is back in my hands.

Getting the rear narrowed by 3" per side. Should be a pretty epic lip on the rears!
