the wheel is the perfect size for the tire. as far as if it will fit, it is equal to a 28" tall tire so if you can tuck a 28" slick you can fit the DR

John, more than likely that Bogart is a 9.75

They have basically 3 sizes. 15x8, 15x9.75 & 15x10

From what I've seen, the 275/50* 15 is about the same size as a 26x11.5 ET Street. Mickey Thompson has a handy chart on their website.. unfortunitly it's down right now.

I know 28 = 60, is anyone actually running this combo?

I have 275-50-15 nittos on 15x8's and I don't think they would have fit on 15x10's.

I don't think that tire will fit a 15X10 rim.

What about the 325/50R15 BFG DR? Are they too wide for this wheel?

When I had my 275/60/15 Nittos, I wanted to run them on a 15x10 Pro Star. I couldn't find anyone that had, so I looked around the Mustang forums (there are alot of Mustang DR racers) and found out that a 275/60/15 would look "balooned and spread out" on a 10" wheel, that it is more made for an 8" wheel. Attached is a pic of a 275/60/15 on an 8" wheel, you can see that 2" extra would spread out the tire too much. The Mustang guys recommended the 325/50/15 BFG DR (27.9" dia, 10.4" tread width, 13" section width, all measured on a 10" rim) on a 10" wheel. (I already had the 275s, so I just got the 8" wheels). Look around the Mustang boards at the DR class sections, there is a ton of pics and info there.

The combo will work but not a good choice IMHO. Your looking at a x-sectional area of about ~10 3/4 inches. This doesn't provide very good clamping force which helps prevent tire slipping @ low pressures.

I am not a tire dealer, but I would imagine that this tire isn't recommended for a 10 inch rim...you may want to verify. If it was, it would definitly be at the very edge of the aceptable range.

i will work and the 15x 10's are a much MUCH better choice for the 275's i've done SEVERAL of these setups, both 15x8 and x10's. do what you like but i'll go ahead and say "i told you so" ahead of time. its like a 275 on a 17x8 mustang wheel that is made for a 245. granted these are 40 and 45 series tires but it's the same concept. it will fit but it's balooned over and your contact patch is even less.
