Lightbulb is a 19 inch rim a bad idea on a camaro

I am buying a set of c6 z06 deep dish rims from a sponsor here. My question is will a 19x10 inch rear rim look/fit ok? Or do you guys feel it will look out of place and stupid on a muscle car? Car has a LOT of mods too.

Let me know what you guys think!

19s tend to look too big on these cars. Some wheels can pull it off but not many. I prefer to stay with 17-18s.

I disagree.. I think it looks damn good. OTOH, I think the 15's and drag tires "look" funny, but form follows function for that.

I'll say that tire size choice does suck in comparison to 18's or even 20".

I have 19's and like them... but they came with the car. If I were to buy rims I probably wouldn't go bigger than 18...

Really though just buy what YOU like... You have to pay for it, and you have to drive it...

there is an advantage and disadvantage to having 19s. i have them. i love them. . . .sometimes. haha. tires are expensive. traction sucks, and most 19" rims will be heavy unless u get a more expensive lightweight rim.

but besides that, they look great. sometimes 18s look too small, and 20s look too big, so 19s just look perfect. but again, what madice said, it depends on the rim. if i could do it over again, i would prob stick with 18s, cuz of the wider choice of tires. but i dont regret getting 19s.

have u thought about doin a staggered look? 18s in the front, 19s in the back.

Someone sure is getting defensive. And why did you bring up 15" wheels when nobody mentioned them? If you actually read my reply, you would notice that I state "Some wheels can pull it off but not many."

I ran 19x10 C6 rims all the way around with 275/30/19 tires...the ride was HORRIBLE and I couldn't get traction. The 30 series tire just has too little of a sidewall IMO. I got rid of them and went down to 18's with 275/35/18 tires and I'm MUCH happier with the ride and handling of my car again!

No problem. I keep going back and forth as to what I want to do! Most likely I will finish the car in March with a Procharger setup. But I keep tempting myself with a Viper as I want to focus more towards road racing. But lets keep this on-topic. PM me if anything.

How are the roads you normally drive on, good or bad?
If the roads are bad go with 18s.

Not getting defensive in the least... I mentioned the 15's because it shows that I'm not a fan of the smaller tire/larger sidewall look.

thanks for all the great advise! i am considering a staggered look with 18s in the front and 19s in the back. The roads are good here in north texas and a good point was brought up about road conditions. I am worried about traction though. i am making about 430 hp and would love a larger rim (18-19's) that i can tuck a large sticky tire on the back for weekend racing...

i'm lowered with 19x10s in the rear and other than the offset being a little off so they tuck a LOT, they look good size wise.

I've been debating EXACTLY about the this topic. Stagger 19/18 or 18's all the way around. Seriously dude, that one more inch probably divides the tire selection by four and adds quite a bit in price over the 18's. I'm going 18's all the way around, just wider rears. Likely goin' with the C6 Z06 Deep Dish's. Good luck
