I have 315's on my factory 17x9 rims.......they wear perfectly even, handle awesome and I get 17,000 miles out of them. I don't go blowing my tires off every day, I really never spin my tires. I also don't go crazy taking corners like I'm road racing the car. I do drive aggressively and have fun though. I'm more of a roll run guy....50mph to 160mph blasts.

Pics are 17,000 mile GS-D3's. I couldn't get GS-D3's last time around and had to buy those Nitto 555 Extremes (not the drags)....they are also doing great and I like them allot. Not as good as the GS-D3's.....but damn happy with them too. Nitto 555's are cheap, I think I paid $155.00 each through a friend at a dealership. 315/35/17

Why? I've got them on the front and they seem fine. Almost all the reviews I've read for them have been good.

As far as the GS-D3s go, god damn they're overpriced.

(275/40R17 at Discount Tire)

NT555 $158
GS-D3 $300

A set of 4 Nittos is $632. A set of 4 Goodyears is $1,200. That's a difference of $568. I'll take the Nittos and spend the $568 on something else.

I'm sure it's a nice tire but there's no way they're worth TWICE the money of the Nitto. How the hell do you enjoy driving your car and spinning the tires every now and then when you're got $600 worth of rubber on the back? Nothing like driving like grandpa in your muscle car because you can't afford to wear out the expensive *** tires.

None come close. Wet performance is friggin ridiculously awesome. Dry traction ON MY CAR with my torque and hp.......better dry traction than when I tried BFG drags and Nittos.

Tires account for too much of a cars handling and safety to worry about the price.

I'm surprised they hook for you. I'm running about 80rwhp less than you and around here on the streets those tires do nothing but spin from a dead stop. Off the stall they usually hook up half way through 2nd for me. Haven't tried them at the track yet.

Unless you ment just overall traction not just drag racing?

I have a feeling some people have to convince themselves the tires they paid a crap load of money for are worth it... even if they're no better or only marginally better than tires that are significantly cheaper.

Mine have definitely worn in the 2 years and 1600 miles I've had my car. I'm rough on them, though. As far as traction, I've got bolt ons, cam, and 3.73s and I can light them up from a roll in second no problem. Of course, they were on the car when I bought it so that's all I know. They may be 10x better than something else, I don't have anything else to compare it to on my car. They seem to be a great tire, but a little out of my budget when it comes time for another set. They do seem alot stickier than the Kumho Ecsta Supras I had on my LT1.

The previous owner swore by these tires for a DD. He said he'd never seen anything as good in the rain. Also, he had a set shaved for autox.

Were those on the rear? (I was hoping to get mroe than 17,000 miles out of these).

A 315 on a 9" wheel - I'm suprised there isn't more buldge. Those tend to be very wide tire too.
