Default BF-Goodrich g-Force T/A KD, what is your opinion on them ?

Hi ls1 tech guys,

Has anyone got these Tires, BF-Goodrich g-Force T/A KD on their f-body, and what is your opinion on them, I need some new tires on my 02 Camaro SS and I was thinking of using the bfg’s, or do you guys know any other tires with outstanding summer performance that won’t wear out in a couple on minutes ?

I was using the KDW2's (fire tread pattern) and they were awesome.

Well from what i understand the KD's are a pretty darn soft compound, left and right specific and directional. Oh and expensive. From doing some reading they are great for dry weather, tire rack doesnt rate them well in the wet and dont even thing about it in snow. I would probably try them if they werent so damned expensive. I had very good luck with the Kuhmo Ecsta MX tires. Those were great.

I'll probably be going with KDW2's. I'd like to know how they hook.

I had a set on and the look was awesome! But They were noisy and just didn't last very long cuz they hook up pretty good. I'm going with Goodyear
F1 this time and see if the top of the food chain last any longer Sure hope. I hate spending $1000 bucks on rubbers! :>

i just got my KDW 2's put on yesterday, i only went with them in the rear just to have something that hooked up a little better then the yokohama's did. The KDW's look badass, and i'll be going to the drag strip tonight so i'll let you know how they hook later. As far as being noisy i haven't noitced it at all, but i normally have the cutout opened on my car so thats probably why i haven't noticed any noise.

I had a set of 315 KD's and they hooked pretty good but they wear almost as fast as the BFG drag radial. If you can find the KDW2's in the size you need I would get those

KD's are discontinued, but I absolutely loved them on my old T/A, probably the best street radial I could find. They hooked decently for 400RWHP, and they were excellent in all conditions (never did snow/ice, but the car saw rain). Here is a pic of them on my first T/A.

I have 295 35 18 kds and i love them. they are sturdy around corners and are the best hooking street tire ive ridden on.
I got mine for 300 for both shipped though so that helps even more.

I have KDW 2's on my car and after putting about 8,000 miles on the tires they make alot of noise at 35 mph. Other than that they seem to be a very nice tire.
