How much horsepower? From a pure hooking standpoint I love the mickey thompsons. They don't wear as well as some others. But it's the onlly tire that I can use to hook my horsepower. I use the 17" Drag Radials believe it or not.

As long as your not looking for a DR that will last a significant amount of miles on the street I would go with M/T. I might be a little partial but they have worked so well for me why try something new I figure. With that said, I recently bought my 4th set of M/T ET Streets just the other day.

I just installed a set of M/T 315 35 R17 3 hours ago and they don't hook on the street. I hope they hook better on the track. They are not quite what I expected on the street. They drive alright they just don't hook like I wanted. If I stall it up to 4000 rpm they just go up in smoke like my run flats did. Over all for the street, not that impressed with the tire.

They had 23psi. It was probably too much. I talked to the guy i bought them from and he said run around 17-18psi and they should work. It is too late for me to take it back out and try again.(car is loud and kids are sleeping.)Will try again tomorrow.

yea, they all need a good burn out before you try to get them to hook.
