Tires with RIM PROTECTORS (275-40ZR-17)
Which brands of tires come with the Rim protectors? I need to buy some new tires for my Firehawk and want to protect the Chrome Rims.
I know Goodyear and BF Goodrich have them, any one else?
I am looking for 275-40ZR-17 All season
Thanks

Basically if you parallel park and rub against a curb, the extra lip may hit it first before your rim. It helps prevent curb rash.
It sticks out about 1/4 inch.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's have a good rim protector, it really came in handy when parking against a curb, no wheel contact with the curb at all.
Actually, if you decide to go with these I have one for sale (275/40/17), it only has a few thousand miles on it, and no burnouts since I only ran it on the front. I bought it because I had a flat and wanted a matching tire (I had gotten them used with WS6 Speedlines). I just got a set of Nitto 555's, so I kept the one good Michelin.
They're a really good A/S, they're excellent in the rain, I drove through some bad storms, and never a hint of hydroplaning or loss of control. They also were driveable in the snow, I got stuck having to drive it in snow a few times and was able to make it to where I was going.

Eagle F1 GS-D3(Max Performance Summer)
The tire's structure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound nylon that distribute the vehicle's load across the tire's footprint to provide high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Slightly angled body ply construction with high-ply turn ups enhance steering precision and high speed stability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels from curb damage.

Try falken, I believe they have them and they are good bang for the buck. Hell I use the ze-512 as fronts but one day I moved them to the back to see how they hooked and they were better then the stock eagle f1s
