Default need basic info on drag wheel/tire combos

Well, just as the title says. So far ive been running C5 Z06 wheels 9.5 front, 10.5 rear with 315 MT DRs. Im deployed to afganistan right now and right before i left i had VA speed install an F13 cam and fix my rear and swap the 3.90s to 4.10s(cause everybody knows when u fix u have to upgrade) and when i get home im goin for as far into the 11s as i can, hopefully 11.7ish, but i want to lighten up the wheel situation and do some slicks and skinnies but ive never ventured into that arena but i love the look and i want to take some wieght off the nose. What are the diameters i need to look for? What tire sizes work with what wheel? Do i need to grind callipers for 15" wheels? can u run skinnies leggally on the street? Thanx guys please dont be to rough on me, im a newb in this area!

Your budget is going to weed out some possible answers to your questions. How much are you willing to spend on your wheels/tires? Do you want real light and don't mind spending the money, or do you just want "the look" and a little bit lighter for cheap?

First, I respect every that is inthe Military and risking their safty for us back home! Good Luck and besafe! I say Bogarts if you have the money! Bogarts are a direct fit wheel. They are custom to what you want! You can get them in a lot of different styles and sizes. No grinding needed, bolt on and go. They offer a really light weight set for Racing only and are not intended for the street. I went with there "Street/Strip" wheel. More street friendly and stronger, down fall a bit heavyer. But Still VERY VERY light. My 15x10s with a 325/50 Radial weight less than 40LBs..Stock 17x8.5 Z06 wheels weight almost double I bet! I was VERY pleased at how nice my Bogarts are. I love them!

Talk to Steve at SJM http://sjmmanufacturing.com/

My next suggestion is the newer Welds. They are pricey as well but They also fit with no mods to the brakes.
Billet Specialties also is good wheel, a bit heavyer but strong enough to drive on. I do think they need some work done on the front brakes if I remember right!

My 15x10 racestars weigh 16.6 lbs with center caps. They clear factory brakes and look badass. Also the cheapest set of drag wheels I could find, it's just a plug they also are designed for our cars. $350 shipped with lug nuts for 2 rears, I'm happy

Where'd you buy them from if you don't mind me asking? Do they have a 15x3.5 or 15x4 for the front?
