Todd@discounttiredirect is running a survey in the general help ls1.com forum to see if there is enough demand for a 17x11 Y2k or Z06 vette wheel. So if you want more choices than the ZR1,big buck three piece wheels, low buck non-hubcentric heavy billet wheels(Boyds), and med dollar hubcentric but heavy billet wheels(Budnik)make your voice heard.
BTW: I hope this post is ok referring to ls1.com and all but I did it as a public service to fellow ls1 owners <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Wow, that would be great man. I think these wheels are both nice, but too many people already have them. I bet many would like to have a Z06 wheel in that size.

I'd really like to see a 17x10.5 wheel with about a 7.5 back space. The 17x11 wheels require modifications I don't want to do to my 2002(I had them on my 98SS). A 315 35 17 would fit fine on a 10.5 rim, and you wouldn't have to grind away body parts to do it or have a rim that sticks out past the fender. Just my $.02

Very few people want the 10.5 since it limits tire choices. As far as the rim sticking out it depends on offset, I don't know if Todd plans a tucked look or not(the tucked look elimanates the 335 option)At some point in the future if you want to get wild and seriously mod your quater panels and wheel wells you can put 335's on an 11 inch rim.In other words, the 10.5 is not going to happen.Custom or Performance Wheel Outlet does the Mustang Cobra R(Milano)in 10.5 by special order or at least they used to.

I'd probably go with some 11" wide C5 rims. I was thinkin Z06, but I don't like them as much as I thought I would. But yeah, I'm gettin rims in Jan. so I gotta find some nice wide ones (if not I'm getting Firehawk rims)

So, am I correct in reading that 315's in the back (whether on 10.5" or 11" wheels) don't fit w/o modification??
If I were to lower my Camaro 1.5", would 275's be about as wide as I could go w/o having to do any modifications??

My SS is lowered 1.5" with a 10.5 and currently running 285/35/18. I had some rubbing issues that required more money and parts to get rid of. I'm thinking 10"s I would have been fine.

Having said that, a 315 tire is wider than either the 10.5 or 11 inch wide rim. When you get rubbing you look inside and there are black rubber marks inside the wheel wells. That is the tire rubbing against the wheel wells. This is becuase the rear axle is moving and the body is flexing making the tires come into contact with the wheel wells.
PHR(especially one with rod ends) will help center the rear. SFC will help with flexing, especially the DD kind. What exactly your car will need just depends.Unfortunately there is no hard fast rule.

Ill tell you what I would sell my current polished AFS ZR1 17x11 combo for: Chrome 18x11 Y2K vette wheels! That would kick *** and 18x 9.5 in the front.

I would definitely do the same with my AFS Zr1's.
I really like the Y2K rims, but the only thing keeping me from getting some is the lack of width.
