BBS or BMW rims
Also, if I'm not mistaken, not all of the BMWs have the some lug pattern.
The rim is made by attaching 3 different pieces together that why its called a PG3 they run about $3000 without tires!

check them out there
The SSR GT3's will because the lug pattern is so close 120mm vs 120.65mm but you have to be VERY careful with the offsets and wheel widths. They are actually meant for BMWs and Audis.

I am currently trying to get a set of these wheels (18") for my 2001 SS, but all of the tire/wheel shops I go through say that the wheel offset isn't compatible.....

You have to tell them its for something like a 330i, 330ci, 328i.
The 18" wheels offsets are 43mm for both the 8.5 and 9.5" wide wheels. There's also a 43mm in a 19".
They also have 18"ers for the 5 series but they are 18mm(8.5"), 18mm(9.5"), and 24mm(10") which are all too low. The wheels would stick out of the wheel well too far.
With 43mm offsets on 18x9.5's, the inside clearance would be practically the same as your stock and the outside edge would stick out about 1/2" more.
With the 24mm offset on the 18x10" wheel, the inside clearance would be about 1/2" more but the ouside edge would stick out about 1.5" more
I've tried to find out if there are any other SSR dealers that carry a wider range of offsets or widths or at least find out if these are the only choices but no luck yet.
Keep in mind that the above offsets are just what I've find out from the Tirerack. You should give them a call yourself to make sure THAT info is right. If you tell them it's going on a Fbod, they will not want to deal with you as it doesn't fit their application data for your car.
Here's 2 other sites you might want to contact about the wheels. I never could talk to a real live person at EVO and the other ones acted kinda snobby after I told them I wanted to fit them on a lowly fbody.
One of these sites had them about $20 cheaper than Tirerack though.

That really helps. I was also considering purchasing the lowering kit package from thunder racing (eibach springs, bolt-on brackts, and adjustable panhard bar). Do you think that will be a problem with the 43mm(18") wheels?
Get us some pics if you get 'em.
You will not have any problems with BMW wheels if you get the correct offset. Look for 18x9.5 wheels for the 3 series. I believe anything wider than that will have different offset that won't fit. I believe some 5 series wheels will fit, again, check the offset. Mine are +43. I'm thinking +37 to +44 should work. Good Luck.

I'm hijacking this thread for another question. How do you like your ground control? Anything you DON'T like about them?
Which springs and shocks do you have on there?
