Anyone running there drag setup on the street.
Im thinking of goin for a drag setup. Only problem is I spend most of my time on the street, not racing just putting around. Anyone running fatties and skinnies on the street, and if so do you have any drivability issues like making quick turns or such????

I drove my white car around every single day in rain snow ice etc etc etc for 1 1/2 years... Although I'm in TN so snow isn't that bad.
It never bothered me, I'm also not some idiot that gets out doing over 100mph on a regular basis or trying to autox my car on a back road or up a mountain.
No biggie IMO..

I've been driving for the last 6 months on draglites and its not bad just no sharp fast turns and look out for potholes. You can drive on the the highway with no problem just remember your on skinnies and its not an autocross car and you'll be fine

Make sure you're careful about what tires you use on the street. Most rear drag tires will wear out very fast and not handle rain well at all; look into the Nitto 555R, the Nitto NT-05, Toyo Proxes drag radial, and maybe the BF Goodrich drag radial. On the front don't use a lightweight drag-only tire like a M/T ET Front or a Moroso Drag Special or DS-2, or a cheap skinny 185 radial built for a slow 2400 lb Volkswagen bug. Use a M/T Sportsman like in phatasp's above pic (part #5703) or M/T Sportsman S/R radial. They're more expensive than cheap 185 radials but they're built to handle our cars.

Keep your wits about you and drive normal and you have nothing to worry about. It isn't like they are glass. It isn't THAT much difference.
You can run sportsman tires out back.. I ran a 295/55 or something similar on my rear. Nice thick sidewall and a pretty decently wide tire. Gave a nice aggressive look but they were full street tires, did not help traction but were great in rain and lasted a long time.

You can drive on the highway just fine. Stop worrying if you are not an idiot. If you drive like an idiot you have a lot more to worry about.
