Default drag radials for street car only ?

im going to be modding my 2002 ss. small cam headers and a 3600 stall. its a 345 hp car so it has a lid and catback. i need new tires first they are dry rotted. car only comes out on sunny days. im going to buy bf goodrich summer only tires. my ? is should i buy drag radials for the rear. car will most likley never see a track its to far. so i will be running full air pressure all the time. will the dr hook much better still than a tire like bf goodrich kds. sorry for long post. thanks for any help

I got the KDS series BF's. I never could get them to hook worth a ****. Drag radials were a different story tho. Be warned tho...it only took 10 trips down the strip to totally demolish my 10 bolt. That's the thing about hooking. You can't just price tires, you have to price a new 9 inch with them! lol

so not warmed up, full air pressure at your average stoplight do you think the dr offer a big advantage over regular tires. i just dont want to see the rear taillights of a stock new mustang 5.0. how do they handle for regular driving?

oh absolutely they do, they stick to pretty much anything in my experiences through corners and especially in a straight line. 1LE suspension, no traction control and 99% stock car in my case but i believe the DR's will do exactly what you need them to do after your mods

I have BFG G-force drag radials and I love them. They wear quicker than Nittos, but they work great, and no one can top their tread pattern!

MT ET Street radials for the best traction. Nitto 555R for a daily driver. I run the 315 Nitto DRs on my 2001 WS6 and as long as they aren't worn out, they are fine in normal rain.

I have 555r's on my DD and havent had any problem at all. they hook great on the street.

my fusion zri tires would spin through 1st and 2nd on the street and with the nittos they sprin a tiny bit in first then hook through top of 1st and 2nd.
