Default My Custom Billet C5 Deep Dish center caps

Well this past weekend I finally got around to my custom center cap project that I've been wanting to do for some time. I've got the OE wheels C5 Deep Dish wheels and like the style, just didn't like the "Corvette" center caps on them.

Made good use of my vacation day yesterday and created a solid model of the aluminum center cap I wanted to build. This cap has more of a radius on the face which I think better follows the face of the spokes on the wheel. Also engraved the Pontiac arrow head on the cap.

After 13 hours of Solid Modeling, CNC programming, fixture building, machining, and polishing I have my "Pontiac Arrow Head" center caps

Let me know what you guys think.

Finally got these put on the car! Lighting wasn't very good, and my camera sucks but here they are.

I think it really changes the look of the wheel.

Looks awesome. I'm gonna be in the same boat when I get mine. Maybe I'll swap out my current center caps if they fit.

If you made them in three basic models and turn'd them out quick enough, you could make a killing. OE Wheels is selling the **** out of their new wheels and you could capitalize on it if it's cost effective enough for you. Make a set of each for display and photos and then set up a list of 10-20 people who want each and crank them out every two weeks or once a month so you're not stuck with inventory. If you don't reach your goal of # of people per batch then don't run the batch and they either don't buy, wait longer or swtich over to blanks.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, I really like the way they turned out.

It may be a while until I get some good pics of the wheels on the car, just fried the bottom end and need to rebuild the engine. Maybe build and sell some of these center caps to fund the build......

Those caps look great! I've always been hoping someone could build a better cap for these wheels and I think you've nailed it. Anyone who produces these in volume should be able to sell lots.
Do they clip in properly and can they be made in plastic? I hope these caps become a reality for the rest of us. If they were available today, I'd be ordering a set right away.
