What is the weight of the steel spare vs a stock fbody wheel?

I would doubt its that substantial enough to be worth the swap.

Go buy some wal-mart hubcaps to compliment your new "skinnies".

They are not steel, they are aluminum, and they weigh 13.5lbs each.

and do they make 17" hubcaps?

Not if you're running the wrong size wheel, and a GTO wheel doesn't fit properly on an F-body.

Do what you want. It is close enough that it will physically bolt on. Lots of people have done it. But don't fool yourself into thinking that makes it safe or proper. Lots of people do stupid **** every day and nothing bad happens. Most likely nothing bad will happen to you, either.

Educate yourself, and then if you decide to do it anyway, at least you do so with the knowledge of what the potential risks are.

If you force it on there, it must be safe, right?

Here's a ram air setup you might want to try...

... at least until you get the weed whacker hooked up.

Doubt you can even fit hubcaps on there... Happysem have you even seen GTO spares?

Jesus this thread sucks. Go yell at anyone running a RUFF wheel because they technically aren't the right bolt pattern either correct?

I guess reading comprehension ******* owns you huh smart guy? I'm not the OP. I don't run GTO skinnies. I have 2 sets of wheels, a custom set of Simmons, and some Racestar Industries MADE TO FIT FBODIES. What do ya know? Read the thread before you talk ****, clown.

Mods, I will take my punishment now, as everyone on LS1Tech cries.

Im not for or against running these spares w/correct tires. I have seen them bolted up before. They are 5x120 as opposed to our 5x120.65 (4.75). Its not a serious difference, but it does load the studs in a different way.

Besides the safety issues with running them, some tracks wont even let you run on them anyway.

I apologize for stepping on your e-peen. I sit corrected.
When there's this much stupid in one thread, you're bound to have some rub off on you.
