Default How are your wheels holding up after you painted them?

I want to paint my zr1's gunmetal but I'm worried about the paint holding up. I just wanted to get some feedback from people who pained their wheels to see how they are holding up a couple years later, and what paint they used.

When I had my V6 Camaro I ended up painting my rims a semi-gloss black because I hated how they looked stock with the rest of the car being black/red. I used caliper paint and the only time I ever had to touch them up was when new tires went on. Here's what they looked like right after I painted them and then 2 years after I initially painted them.

Had mine painted for a few months now. They are holding up well. A few rock chips here and there but that's to be expected as I dd my car. If you do good prep work the rest is easy.

If you prep well and put a few layers of clear they will be fine. I do 3 layers on every wheel I paint!

The wheel paint they have out seems to hold up good! I painted my wifes wheels on her mazda6 gunmetal and they held up great for 3 years. We just changed out not to long ago for aftermarket wheels.
