Wanted 18" AR Rorque Thrust IIs (polished or custom chrome)
I am looking for some NEW American Racing Torque Thrust IIs!!!
If anyone has them on a 2002 Firebird Firehawk, or Ram Air please chime in on how well you like them. Also, if you have any specific preference on tires. I am looking for a tire that has a protective "rim" or "bead" (sp) like I have on the Firehawk tires on my 17" chrome rims.
I would be willing to trade, but I prefer buying new rims and keeping these as it will help resale in 20+ years.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Americanracing.com shows 17s by 11s fitting my car, a 2002 Firebird Formula Firehawk. I have had a dealer say custom 18s will fit, but I trust you guys more then a guy that SELLs wheels.
The AR website shows the 17 by 11, Product Number: 50571163,
Size: 17x11 in T-THRUST II 5X4.75+ Fully polished
Backside Spacing (in/mm): 7.75/197
Offset: 45.72 mm
I STILL WOULD Love to see the 18s!
AM I asking for problems?

not not at all 18's will fit and so will the 17x11's you just might have to do a little banging on the inside of the fender well. the backspacing that AR gives you is the right one, basically you don't want more than 3 to 3.5 inches left after you subtract the backspacing from the width of the wheel (positive offset) otherwise the wheel will stick out on a n f-body.
