If you go through with it, a write up would be nice.. And, those DD 5 spokes are really nice!!

I currently have some wheels at Weldcraft being widened. Can't wait to get 'em back so I can work on getting them on the car.

I have a set of stock 00 WS.6 wheels that are 11" wide with Nitto 555s (street tire) in 315/35s, and traction is night and day over the 275s that were on there. And besides, 315s from behind look GREAT!! Heres a thread i started on mine:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...pics-here.html

I run a 1" adapter, and had to BFH a little on the inner fender, but it depends on the tire. With the 555Rs, i didnt have to massage anything. The 555s are an inch wider.

Look stock from the side:

i was wanting to do this ^ do you guys think that you can weld the adapter square to the wheel and have it work? Also did you have to run longer studs?

I wouldnt even try to weld that adapter to the back of the wheel. You would need a LONG *** stud to make it through both the spacer and wheel. I was running the ARPs, but they werent completely neccesary. Fortunatly, on the back of the stock wheels, theres enough recess to clear the ARPs with a 1" adapter.

I'm right there with you on the 278s. I have them in 19x9.5 and I currently have 275/30/19s on them, but would love to be able to run a 305/30/19, but I don't feel comfortable going more than a 285 or 295 on a 9.5" wide rim.

YES!

As far as sleeper looks and not being obvious, you would really have to be paying attention to catch the 315's on my SS
