Default Weld Draglites 16x8 need grinding on narrowed rear end?

Hey everyone, Im looking to buy some wheels off of a member on here. The wheels are 16x8 draglites with 4.5" backspacing. My rear end is narrowed 3" per side. I was wondering first, if they will fit without banging the hell out of my wheel wells, and second if I will have to grind my rear calipers. I am only buying the two rear wheels. The reason why I dont want to grind my calipers is because I recently spent many hours converting my red calipers to this:

I really hope someone can help, I need to get rid of these 3" wheel adapters!

these are the pics of the wheels I am planning on buying, Anyone know what style lug is needed and if they are hard to get? I have been reading that some welds need special lugs that are no longer made.

summitracing.com has what you need for lugs my friend. As for if those wheels will fit? I don't know. I would just wait and buy something nice.

thanks for the info! The reason I need a set of rear wheels is that I dont want to run the 3" adapters for long. I will be ordering a nice set of forged wheels all around and would like a temporary rear set.

I'm pretty sure thats the wrong backspacing for narrowed rear. For an 8" rim you use a 5.5" bs with stock rear width.

backspacing and wheel width is a hard number to figure out when going from a 11" wheel to a 10", etc.

10" wheel - 8" wheel = 2"
5.5" bs - 4.5" bs = 1"
1" + 2" = 3" narrowed

I just made that up, but in "this case" kinda makes sense. 11" wheel needs 7.75" backspacing, so narrowed would be 4.75" backspacing.
