I had found a company a while back taht had a wheel that looked JUST like the GTA style wheel..(Im redoing my 87 GTA) and I wanted to do 18s..Iv looked for the last 2 weeks or so but cant find them again. I emaild them the sizes I wanted and it was lie $4500 before tires! Wayyyyy to much for me but they were soo close to the orginals but in 17s-19s I think. I cant find the email either..If I find it Ill post a link.
Breed wheels has somthing similar but not what I was looking for..might take a look at there choices.

Stay tuned. I'm in the process of working on something as we speak. If it works it will be 17" rims. For my setup I will need rims 11" wide for the rear but other widths would be available. I am only working on the rears do to traction problems with my car but this would work for either the front or rear wheels. For me I am leaving the fronts as they are.

I have donated a rear GTA wheel to the local wheel shop to see if it can be made into a 17" wheel. At first it was a no. Then after some brainstorming a "maybe". So I will say it is a 50-50 chance it can be done. The wheel shop is going to try a different method than they normally do when converting a 16" wheel to a 17". The price will be higher like $300 a wheel for the conversion if this works.

i had the same idea, i wanted (still do really just no $ ) to oick up a white or maroon GTA and restore it, lower it etc. I was planning on using BMW style 5 rims, or BBS Rs. They are amazing rims and whats better is that they are cheap, and 3 piece, and there are companies that sell different size outer hoops which mean you can choose what lip to run, and you can customize your offset.

I have a black '92 GTA, and I would absolutely loooove to have an exact duplicate of the gold wheels in an 18" diameter! I followed the thread on Turbo Buick. Those wheels came out nice, but I would want the webbing near the wheel's center to be cut out just like the originals. It's amazing that the most beautiful wheel that GM ever used on a car was never replicated in a larger size by an aftermarket company for mass production... especially since that wheel is still in high demand.
