To the OP, i bought rims/tires off a member and the way it was sent was just like how one of the members mentioned. just put strong cardboard on the rims, and wrap them. The guy i bought the wheels/tires off sent all 4 wheels just like that.
Goddamn that is rape on shipping.

I've had wheels shipped to me with tires, they were chrome 18's and they showed up perfect, the wheel faces covered in cardboard and taped all around.

I've shipped a set of 15" BBS wheels, hell of alot lighter than the stock wheels, and shipping on base through ups cost me around $120. That was doing my own packing, and them just weighing them. I almost slapped em.

So, we've got cases where it wasn't so bad and then other cases where it almost wasn't worth it. There's gotta be a way to make it more consistent for everyone. I'm still not sure about Fed Ex either-too many stories about their insurance and how they lie about what's actually covered...

^ To me, FedEX sucks. I have bought stuff and they come from one state and delivered through UPS, next couple of days I'll have it. If i order something from the same area but say a diff. company that delivers through FedEX, I'll get it all right, in about a week more than what they orignally told me. But thats with me though, others may be vice-versa though.

some guys i went to highschool with work at fedex and they tell me stories about people being careless and just slinging **** around like its some kind of game some thimes they break **** on purpose . but once i shipped a t56 thruogh ups me and my dad did an awsome job on packing it making sure it was secure but them *** holes still found a way to demolish the damn thing and the sad thing is i thought i would save money on not insuring it that screwed me bad and then on top of that when it was being shipped back to me they lost the damn thing so i dunno which is better

Your best bet would be to find the shipping hub in your town and take them straight to them. Or schedule a pickup. I actually use Staples for alot of my shipping cuz they use UPS.

How the hell do you lose a transmission. It's not like it's a set of car keys or a pack of rubbers that gets caught in the sofa cushion, or something...

myk ur wrong,i sent 4 wheels and tires cost 188 to ship, and 2 got damaged fedex replaced all 4 for 1100 for tt2s,but it took them 2 months to investigate,so they do cover more than 100 for insurance if you pay more.i had coverage for 300 a wheel.
