How do 285s look on 11 in wide rim?

How do 285s look on 11 in wide rim? Need rear tires for winter. I live in Texas so don't need any thing but all season tires. Don't want to spend much. Bought wheels with M/T DR's that are 275/40/17. Check with M/T and they are ok to run but look silly.They barely reach the lip of rim! Any body got pics of 285's on 11 in rim? Want 305 but can't find for 17's.

285 on a 11" wheel will be stretched way too far, I had one break the bead on a 10.5" wheel, totaled my car. Turns out the car isn't as predictable once you are driving on the rim.

i agree, 315s are the way to go. i have 295 on my 10.5 c6 z06 replicas and i think they are too stretched. https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...y-02-hawk.html is what the tires look like on the rim
