Default Guys with Firehawk Rims and Drag Radials - Help Please

Guys,

Got my Firehawk rims widened to 17X11 and mounted Mickey Thompson 315/35/17 ET Steet II drag radials on them. The tire does not fit tight to the lip of the rim, so the rim is actually sticking out further than the tire bulge (or lack there of). I have been told that this is partly due to the rim flange design of the Firehawk rim and parlty due to the design of the Mickey Thomspon drag radial tire. Does anyone have any experience with this? Was thinking about trying an Nitto NT05R to see if it might fit better.

Any help is appreciated.

I ran the same size tire on a 17x11 Zr1 wheel and they fit nice. Did they put enough air in the tire to seat it on the rim?

Just curious, how much did you pay per wheel to have your wheels widened?
