No traction with stall. Will nitto 555r dr's help? Vid inside
So I have 315 sumitomo's on my car now, that didn't hook very good on the stock stall. Im wondering if some 275 nitto 555r drag radials will get me hooking right up off the line?

IMHO and from what luck friends of mine have had with 555R's is they generally suck for any kind of traction at the strip. They are marginally better than a street tire and they run narrow in their appearance.
I really think the BFG drags would fit your needs better than a Nitto. Now those are badass tires!

I've cut a 1.8 back in the day with BFG's on a 35 series 18" wheel, stock weight 6 speed and 3.42's.
I went 2 seasons on them with big smokey burnouts and daily driving. I still have them in the garage with lots of life in 'em still. Great tires!

They helped me a lot, still won't dead hook but they would stick at least twice as good as any street tire.
At the track I cut 1.78 60ft launching as hard as I could and spinning just a hair as a result. I doubt even with full slicks I could have got any better than 1.69.
Mine were 275/50/r15. Lasted around 15000 miles and I took them off because the middle was worn enough they were dangerous in wet weather. I could still use them at the track another 2-3 trips I think...if they haven't gotten too hard from sitting.

I am running my DD Bolt-on car right now with 275 MT's and never have a problem and they show no real signs of fast wear. The next set of tires I am planning to get, since I have heard from so many people and big name people on these forms are these:
I heard "TRUST" on these Fourms had them on his 800+HP WS6 with I think a 315 size Toyo and he said they held up really good. They say they last almost longer then a Nitto and are nearly as sticky as a MT. I would Search the fourms on here for more info.
