Wheels shown on Texas Camaro are:

17 x 5.0 fronts
17 x 10.0 rears

Tucked in really nice! Could go wider in the rear, 17 x 11 easy.

Default RT-S Wheels

Its not marketed as a drag wheel, its a street wheel from what I understand. So the weights indicated could be realistic depending on shell thickness as well as increased center section mass. As you know, a drag wheel is not a street wheel where there are completely different benefits for both designs.

I am interested in compare and contrasts between these and other wheels. I'm not going to discuss them in here as this is not the place for it. I'm interested in understanding what the facts are about these wheels.

Maybe wheelczar can comment and clear up a few questions. I'd like to hear the official weight of the fronts and rears. The shells, what material hardness are the shells manufactured with...cold formed and are they solution hardened or final machine temper left after forming? If hardened, to what grade?

Thanks,

Steve
I would review the PRI video posted on this thread. It answers most of your questions. The wheels are a street and strip wheel. Larry Larson won Drag Week on the RT-S wheels on the rear of his car, so they will handle the track well. Weights are relative to the functionality of the wheel. It has to have the ability to handle side loads during cornering. As far as the weight goes you would have to call Weld or Texas Speed. Or even better buy a set or 2 and try them on your car!

They offer quite a few for the C6 as well! Shoot me a PM with roughly what sizes you want, and I can send you the list of wheels they have in that area and see what you want!
