Default Weld Drag Wheels Now Available & In Stock @ Texas Speed!

Guys I'm proud to announce that Weld has now finished up the RT-S series wheels for the 2010 Camaros. We test fit the production version yesterday & I have to say these things are absolutely awesome! I also have to say I'm pumped up about how much cheaper these things are than the other drag wheel combos out there!

We've got a intro special going for all of you guys right now & even have black face & polished face wheels in stock!!

The wheels on our shop L99 car are the polished version, but we also have a black face option as well! The car in the pics have Hoosier 28" rears & M&H front 28" skinnies! This car lost 130# from swapping the GM 21" wheels to these Welds! If memory serves me correctly the fronts were 32# & the rears were 45#!

18" correct?

What width and backspace?

First we've seen them on an SS, way cool!

Thanks!

These are 17" wheels. Trying to maximize sidewall on the tire. I'm not sure on the backspacing but I will get it in the morning and post it up for you. They are available in 18", 19", and 20" wheels.

We are the first ones with the Camaro wheels! I believe we are already sold out of the polished wheels and have a one set of black wheels left. We have several more sets that will be on the way shortly!

Those look great on the 2010. I'm glad to see a sponsor carrying these wheels. Those folks at Weld sure had their **** together with the RTS wheels

Are you quoting the weight of the weld wheels without tires??? That seems very heavy.

I've never weighed the 17s, however if my memory serves me correct the 15x4.075" fronts are around 10lbs and the 15x10.275 were around 14lbs each.

Camaro396, Thanks for your input but that has nothing to do with the 17's being discussed. Jon, can you confirm your original numbers? Thank you.

I was using that as a suggestion that 2" in rim diameter probably does not add 22lbs to the front wheel and 31lbs to the rear wheel. I'd say it was pretty self explanitory that the posted weight included the weight of the tires.

Well, it all depends on design. The centers are much larger and I'm assuming it's designed different, this is where a higher percentage of added weight will be.

Its not marketed as a drag wheel, its a street wheel from what I understand. So the weights indicated could be realistic depending on shell thickness as well as increased center section mass. As you know, a drag wheel is not a street wheel where there are completely different benefits for both designs.

I am interested in compare and contrasts between these and other wheels. I'm not going to discuss them in here as this is not the place for it. I'm interested in understanding what the facts are about these wheels.

Maybe wheelczar can comment and clear up a few questions. I'd like to hear the official weight of the fronts and rears. The shells, what material hardness are the shells manufactured with...cold formed and are they solution hardened or final machine temper left after forming? If hardened, to what grade?

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks GTO, but I'd like to hear about the 2010 Camaro design which should be a different design regarding hub/center and shell, what you have wouldn't fit the 2010 Camaro. Hopefully wheelzar will post comments as I'm sure he sees this post.
