Need help with tire choice. g-force sport, yoko s. drive or nitto 555 not the r How would you guys rate the Bf Goodrich G-Force sport tires or the yokohoma s. drive, I think i have found a place to get them new for $647, and $627 shipped respectively. Also looking at the Toyo Nitto - NT555 and I may be able to get the set for $607 shipped to my door. Would you guys choose any of these?
I have a 1998 camaro a4 with 3.73 gears basically stock, just lid, pp tb, ram air, car is a dd so sees rain. Will only be driven during spring to fall. What would be the best tire of the 3 for the money. Appreciate the help, Im limited on tire selection due to price, but also getting them to canada for a decent price seems rather impossible for almost everywhere. Im not against mixing tires if thats a better solution. Standard tire size of 275/40R17

May want to double check on the Nitto's, the few places I looked had in small print that they wouldn't ship them to Canada. I've had BFG tires a few different times, KDWS and KDW's...like the BFG brand pretty well.

guess I will have to check that, the kdw do look good but the place im using doesnt have 275. They do have Kumho Ecsta SPT but not sure their dd and their a lot more, their 100 dollars more then the nitto.

I got a set of gforce Sports 255/50ZR16 for my 98 Trans Am last spring. I love them. Once they get warm i can't get them to break loose without doing something stupid. My car is a bone stock auto with a lid and 60000 miles. They didn't seem bad in the rain either.

Appreciate the info, i think its looking like more of a g-force or s drive race, Ive had a few replies on different forums supporting both.

I really like my NT 555's. I DD the car 3 season a year, and they've worked out very well for me. They're quiet, ride smooth, are great in the wet, and hook like a mother (although I am running 2.73 gears).
Before that I was running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's, which are about twice the price of the Nittos. I find the Nittos to be quieter, smoother, and they hook SO much better....I could smoke the Michelins off the line, I could NOT hook at the track, even leaving just off idle. I can brake torque to 1500 with the Nittos, and STILL hook. My first run with them cut .1 off my 1/4 mile off my best run with the Michelins.
When I ws researching them I found similar reviews about the BFG Sports, so those are prob a solid choice too. I went Nitto because they were cheaper. I got my set of 275/40/17's for 600 out the door last spring.
