I have black wheels on my car because it matches the rest of the "theme" of my appearance. That's about it.

Not a fan.
I can't say I'm looking for a membership, but I'm also not a fan.

I wouldn't say the wheels look dirty when they're all black, but the tires. They can never be as black as a painted wheel, so it makes them look dingy. I'm sure you could use Tire Shine on them and they'd look good, until you drove away and then the dust sticking to the sidewalls would make them look like ***.

A black wheel needs a polished lip for contrast between the wheel and tire.

I used to think this, but have you seen what you can spend on a black wheel? I no longer think it looks cheap, but like someone forked over a lot of cash to make their ride look worse.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

You havent seen or liked McNord's car???

Ive seen just as many cheap looking cars on chrome wheels as i have black. The type of wheel and how well it matches the rest of the car is the thing that makes it look like **** or not. I used to like chrome rims more till i found my job and was able to just pc mine for free, i never did end up needing to decide cause the next week i picked up a fresh set of 255's for 50 bucks, next time around though..prob get some new wheels..

I think chrome looks more show, black looks more go. Thats my .02

I think black wheels were a fad a couple years ago it seems kinda right around or before when murdering cars became popular. Dont think its a fad though because fads come pretty much as fast as they go and black rims have been around and will be around a long *** time

Pretty much how I feel.

I picked these for my MCSS..you cant tell what they are in the previous pic of them..they are one of the sharpest wheels I've had on a car..

Depends on the car. Either chrome or black CAN NOT be the only chrome or black on the car or either choice will look retarded.

I personally don't like chrome due to wait and it reminds me of the 90s. I like "painted" (be it grey, black, whatever) and personally think black looked best on my car...

So did the judges, lol...

Around here in the early to mid 90's many guys I knew did the same thing specifically going for the Nascar look with plain steel black wheels and white lettered Goodyears. This was mostly seen on the 80's body style Cutlass, Monte Carlo and Grand Prix.

I don't hate the look but I'm not a fan of it either. To each their own.

I can't say that chrome reminds me of any specific decade. It's been around for SO many decades and been popular in so many eras and styles that it doesn't really remind me of anything.

I run Black wheels on car, I wanted a white car with black wheels even before I had my car. Nothing looks better than a white car on black wheels IMO. I do think some colors should stay away from black wheels.

its a fad that should have never been started. agreed there are some, and by some that means very few, that it looks good on. For the most part, its just ugly.
