Default 275x35x18 on front and 265x40x18 on back

275x35x18 on front and 265x40x18 on back will these 2 sizes be close enought in size to not mess up the ABS & TCS.

I normally use BF goodrich 275x35x18 however these tires are on a national backorder unknow when there available.

I have a rear tire w/ tread coming off so it's kindof an emgergency.

car is a 99 TA

Thanks

IMO, either put some 275/40/18 out back, or some 285/35/18.
I've been driving with 275/35/18's front and 275/40/18's in the rear for a couple of years without any abs issues.

I have allready ordered 275x35x18 this time Dunlopes 300 tread wear so it should hook a little better than the BF goodrichs I've been running w/ it's 340 tread wear.

next time I'll get a 275x40x18 and just keep them on the back.

I bet you have a smoother (softer ride w/ the 40s)?

I also think a 40 series on the back will hook better since there's a little crincal effect.
plus I bet it helps a little fill the fender gap.

post up some side view images of the wheels.

how are you liking you'r power steering pump was it brand new and was it expensive?
I feel my pump is going south it makes a slite grinding noise.

PS I see you finally got a cam how are you liking the extra power?
Thanks

I originally went with the 275/40/18 in the rear because I needed some less expensive tire at the time, and I ended up really liking the look better, so I've stuck with the 275/40/18's for the rear.

The ride's a little softer, but not much.

Check my Photo albums to, I've got a bunch of pictures.

The TurnOne PSP is nice, no more steering noise, or fluid pushed out the lid, the steering's a little heavier but I like it that way, but it's pricey $315(w/billet pulley). I just put it on about a month ago.

Yeah the additional power's really nice, along with the sound!

BTW, how long have you had your SSR wheels?
I've had mine since 1999, there really good wheels!

hey bluz28 I'm looking to get new tires for my car i see you have 275/40/18 on your car. the car looks good just wondering is the car lowered at all, or do they fit under the wheel well that good. I like the look alot, trying to accomplish the same with my 97 z28. can list what you have done there as far as wheels tires, and springs. thanks

It's lowered , the 275/40/18s will get rid of 1/2" of normal tire gap, but i only have them in the rear since I'd have issues with it rubbing up front with it lowered. I've got a bunch of suspension photo's in my albums also.
Up front Ground control adjustable kit w/ 625lb.in. springs and the Upper Mount Mod and Koni SA's, in the rear Koni SA's w/shaft mounted bumpstops, and RideTech Coolride air bag kit w/manual air valves. So I can adjust the rear ride height up/down within minutes if I want. Right now the front is about 1/2" lower than in the photo.

Sorry for the late response, front tires are 275/35/18, ride height currently is at 25.5" front, and 26.5" rear, measured from the wheel well apex to the ground.
Btw, the rear would be at 26" w/stock height tires, and the front ride height is currently about .5" lower than in the photo.
