Default tire size suggestion please

I am gonna run 15 in racestar wheels at the track and already got that wheel/tire combo done. My question is for my street setup.

I am gonna end up with qa1 coilovers on the front and lower it about an inch. Rear will have the heater hose mod which will be .75-1 inch lower.

I really dont wanna run the 17x9.5/18x10.5 setup cuz I know I am gonna be burning the tires off and 295/35/18s are too expensive.

So i am looking at 17x9.5 all the way around. I dont wanna run 275/40s on all 4 corners. I would like to run a larger tire in the rear.

What size tire would you recommend for the rear? Or the front also for that matter given the car will be lowered. OR does 275/40sall the way around look alright?

Will a 315/35 look alright on a 17x9.5? It will be a cheaper sumitomo tire, and i think they run a little smaller anyway than a nitto or comparable.

any help appreciated. And pics are welcome. Gonna probably run z06 wheels.

I don't understand your logic of going with 17x9.5 all around if you'd like to run wider tires in the rear anyway. If you want to run wide tires in the rear be safe and buy the right size wheels to do so. If you go with the 17x9.5's all around then just run 275/40's on all 4 corners it'll look great

You can run a 285/40/17 on the 17 x 9.5's without any problem.

Most of the wheels I am seeing are only offered in 17x9.5. Except for the zr1 wheels or the torque thrust wheels which I don't want. I am wanting to run 17 inch z06 style wheels. I see they are only offered in 17x9.5. They are offered in 18x10.5 but like stated. 315-35-17 radials are 130 each whereas the bigger 18 inch tires are nearly 300 each.

If you know of a place that offers z06 style wheels in a 17x10 pr 10.5 or 11 please let me know. Oewheels doesn't

A 305 will fit on a 9.5 wheel and looks good!

I think I will run the 15 inch racestars for a while and then switch up to 17 inch z06 wheels with 275/40s with drag radials in rear. Anyone have pics of their car with similar setups?

Or. I can continue running the racestars. Haven't had the car on the road yet. I've had over a hundred mustangs with skinnies and never a problem. What's your thoughts on your camaros with skinnies on front? Car will see a lot of street time. No hard cornering tho
