OE Wheels guys - what springs are you running?
I have been eyeing the c5 17/18 deep dish wheels for my 96 Camaro. I am not a fan of a really raked stance, so my only real concern is if the bigger wheels out back will make it sit too high in the back for my liking. Either way, what springs are you guys running or do you recommend that give a good stance with these wheels?

Right on - so the stance of the car stays about the same. Thanks for the link btw, I will be messing around with that when I get a few minutes.

Thanks for the compliments. Some mods needed to be done to make them fit, but the outcome is well worth it. BFH mod, Cut outer fender lip (didnt wanna roll and risk and cracking the paint), Grind bump stop bracket, 1/4" spacer, extended shank lugs (dont have longer studs).

Cutting the fender isn't the smartest move. That creates a sharp end that can cut the hell out of a tire. If you roll the fenders, its more of a rounded end, so instead of cutting the tire, it rubs the tire inwards. I've had rolled fenders on a few of my cars and never had issues with peeling paint. But the genious that rolled the fenders on my current car did a horrible job (before I bought it), and there is some paint flaking on the edge. You just gotta find someone with experience.

Yea when i first installed the springs i was wondering why my friends car with sportlines looked lower. I took that pic the day I installed the springs. they've settled a little lower now. I guess they needed to "break in"

I thought about that dude. thats why its body worked smooth. also it doesnt go anywhere near the tire. thats why you roll/cut, to get the fender AWAY from the tire. otherwise whats the use of rolling/ cutting the fenders anyway? hello!?! As you stated your paint was cracked from previous owner "rolling the fender". Hense why i didnt roll. its a gamble I personally didnt want to take. Ive seen many many cars with cracking paint due to rolling. its a hit or miss. as for experience, my good friend is one of the premier mod shops here. he has rolled/ cut thousands of fenders.

808z28 Camaro -- you roll the fender because there's about an inch of a lip that is inside the fender. I dont know about you, but I use big boy 315s, that usually do hit the fender. But since theyre rolled, they don't cut them. I've had 7 fbodies and have gotten the fenders rolled on 4. All 4 that I've had rolled turned out great bc they were EXPERIENCED. The guy that rolled my fenders on the current car must have been a newb. Do some research on cutting fenders vs rolling fenders. From what I've read in the past, cutting fenders also weakens the quarter panel itself. Again, if you have an experienced person rolling your fenders, there will be no issues.
