Anyone stagger 17" ws6 5 spoke rears with 16" trans am 5 spoke fronts?

Thats what Ive been wanting to run too.. Its subtle, 16s are cheap, you get more sidewall, and I already have some 17s for the rear that are 11" wide for street tires.

Why would you run a larger rim in the rear? If you made the stock 16's wider you could fit more tire and less rim

Why wouldn't you put a larger wheel in the rear? If not for a drag setup why not? Corvettes stagger their wheels along with many other cars.

I, for one, love my chrome 5 spokes but I need more traction in back. Corners aren't really a problem so I don't really need 275s (on 17s) up front. But I do need them in back. I thought about doing 16/17 to keep cost down.

Though for a 16/16 drag setup keeping with the OEM wheels would look good. Anyone have pics of that?

I've never been a fan of staggered wheels unless the car is built for it ie c5-6 Corvettes that have larger rear wheel Wells than on the front. Just my opinion.
