Default Anyone stagger 17" ws6 5 spoke rears with 16" trans am 5 spoke fronts?

I have been kinda looking for different rims for my ta and was wondering if anyone has done this and how it looks? The 5 spoke ws6 rims seem quite common and it would be nice to run a 275 DR on them verses the limited selection in 16"

Have these for the rear (17x9)

And these on the front (16x8)

That's my exact setup:

It's been a great setup for me, but I recently bought some Corvette rims so if you need either fronts, rears or all fours I'm selling them.

IMO opinion that doesn't look good at all.. Having the 17's in the back makes the 16's look like midgets

I think that looks pretty good. I've never seen anyone do that before.

I never really got why peopel who like staggered 17s and 18s hate 16s and 17s. Same amount of difference.

Don't really like 17-18 staggered either because of the same reason

I think it looks pretty good. I bet most people would never notice the difference.

why wouldn't you just run the 17's all the way around? It looks ridiculous to me....

Because they look weeeetoddid with that super thick-*** sidewall on the front.

I like the Idea, but tire in the front looks a bit big, looking a bit funny, but if you went a lil smaller in the front, I think It would look alot better. thats just my opinion.

That silver T/A previously posted looks like it has a lift kit on it.

I know I'm reviving an old thread here, but has only ONE person on this forum tried this? I was curious myself as to what this setup would look like.

Any other pics? Anyone??

I would do it the other way around, run the WS6 on the fronts and the 16s on the back with a big drag radial.

The relative difference between 16 and 17 is higher however than 17 and 18.

Personally I usually prefer the same diameter front and rear.

Why not just run a 275/40/17 fronts and 295/45/17 rears?

Doesn't look like there's any street tires in a 295/45/17

M/T makes a drag radial in that size, but they are a pretty big tire. I can see why people are wanting to stagger 16"/17" wheels instead. Plus it would be easy to have a set of 4 of the 275/40-17's for the street and a pair of drag radials mounted on a (cheaper) matching set of 16's.
