It is posted that you have to fit these on with the suspension loaded to clear the bump stops (bump stops sit inside wheel). It just didn't appear too safe to me. Since I have a Spohn drag bar and no room to place jack stands under the rear, I wanted to be able to remove the wheels with the car jacked by my sfc's. It is easier to switch to a drag wheel/slick setup. I will also be running 28" tall slicks so I will be rolling the fenders later.

What kind of tires are on the rear?

Looks like Nitto NT-555s, the regular street tire, not the drag radial.

"Latch" is correct ... Nitto 555's (not R's) in 315/35/17. They were mounted on the ZR1's when I bought them. Since I don't street race, they are fine for the street. I will be running slicks at the track when the car is done.

For me, I am only concerned with straight line performance so I cannot say about cornering. Someone else should chime in here. I am setting up my SS strictly for drag racing. Honestly, for the street, I went with this setup for looks and budget on the street. Track performance will be handled by Race Stars with slicks and skinnies.

Default 99 Camaro SS 400 rwhp

My camaro is dropped 2 inches, I have chrome ZR1 17" × 9.5 front and 17" × 11.5 in the rear running 245/45/17 Nitto 555 in the front, and 315/35/17 Nitto NTO5R on the rear UMI lower control arm relocaters, and have no issues with any rubbing. As far as power loss goes HP is just a number it doesn't mean anything if you can't get off the line. 1.6 60 ft, 11.23X 1/4 mile at 128mph

CHROME zr1's weight about 20 lbs, I personally think non-chrome zr'1 look sickkkk, but thats jus my opinion

I looking at some rims 17x10.5 rims and wanted to put 315 tires on. Was wondering what all so I have to do to get them to fix or do that just bolt right on without rubbing. I have a 1997 Z28 Camaro at stock height. I seen that some tires (315s) run bigger then the other ones even though they the same size tires. The link below is rims I'm looking at on Amazon. Thanks in advance.
