Yeah, my first week of work was last week. BSME from Purdue - watch out me and a lot of my friends are working / producing / designing all your ****. That is a bit scary.

I do alright, but unfortunately all my money is going to Debt and Savings for awhile.

Well I have finally narrowed it down after 2 months to 2 wheels. Both put me at the same price after tires(about $3700). 18" CCW SP500 vs. Fikse FM5 17x9.5/11.
Heres a picture of the finish of full face polished FM5s.

Heres whats weighing in my mind.
Fikse
Amazing wheel, probably the lightest you can find, cheaper tires, also would allow me to run a 315 out back, without the BBK I could lower in the fall with the money Id put aside for BBK.
CCW
Quicker build time, allows for BBK, would take me longer to lower the car after saving for BBK.

Looks like it will be up to you to determine your value in having the BBK or having a better wheel. Personally, I'd opt for the wheel....

Just FYI the wheel pictured in post #223 Is a Profil5 by FIKSE . .

The Classic FM5's look a little bit different.

I prefer the looks of my Techni-Polished centers and full polished hoops.

Thanks Xsta, I trust a man owning several Fikse wheels.

LPE that is exactly what it comes down too. I have always wanted a BBK up front but when it comes down to it, its mostly for looks.

Im undecided on the finish honestly. Full polished looks amazing but techni-polish isnt bad by any means and is much easier to maintain.

I'd go the FM5 route with those two choices. To me the BBK looks funky unless the rears are also upgraded.

And does Fikse do brushed centers?

Honestly Tran I would say techni-polish is kinda close to a brushed look.

Brembo offers a BBK kit that fits under 17's, 4 piston w/ 13" rotors. Could also contact Baer and see if they could build something like a 6P caliper on a 13" Rotor? I see AP Racing has kits for the 5th gens now, maybe they've built something for the 4th's? Maybe call around and check your possibilities before making the final decision. Xsta - You certain thats the Profil5? It looks like it has the stepped lip to me and I thought the Profil series was a straight barrel with a rounded lip at the edge. Just curious, been awhile since I checked out Fikse site.

gah get 18s!!!

I still vote the 18" FM10s but of those choices I would choose the FM5 in technipolish with fully polished lips over the CCW500

if you had said CCW classics it might have been a different story.

Wilwood also has a BBK to fit under 17s. I thought about doing them but I don't really have a need for them. Fikse FTW!

Ya that C6ZO6 BBK is actually really cheap compared to the others on the market.. Looks great too! I wish it could fit under 17s though because I do plan to be at the track often and running 17" skinnys

Well I finally got the chance to price everything out. The Fikse are about $300 more once I get the wheels/tires/mounted. I know that doesnt sound like alot when your looking at $3500+ for everything but that will mean more saving and a longer wait. I could take a different route and go Sumitomos instead of Nitto, or using some old tires with decent tread on the car now and just buying 315s for the rear but I dont think I can go cheap on tires with $3000 wheels.
