Default Making 335s fit on an F-body (pic heavy)

So...a few months ago, I found this guy in Texas that was selling his widened Black ZR1s. They started off as 17"x11" wheels and he had them widened to 13". I like being unique and I figured that since he had gotten them to fit on a T/A, I could do the same. Also, I already had Black ZR1s on my car, so I wasn't really changing the theme of my car.

275s vs 335s:

Inside of the wheel:

Wheel Spacer...I didn't want the wheel to stick ridiculously far, so I decided to have it tuck further in. I cut the studs off the spacer because I'm running 2.5" ARP Wheel Studs, and they go all the way through the spacer, and have enough threads for the entire lug to tighten onto.

Bump Stop (and some more) ground off...there was about a quarter inch worth of space, and was too close for my comfort.

After inspection to make sure that the inner fender wasn't part of the rear frame, I decided do some cutting. I cut about half an inch worth (the ridges made it thicker than the metal actually was).

Ahhh...lost more room now:

Some POR-15 to prevent rust...I'll be spraying some rubber undercoating on there when the paint dries.

Now for the good stuff...

What do y'all think?

PS: Yes, I know they're bald...they're getting replaced soon.

Love that you are doing all this to get them to fit, and doing the write-up. I have to be a little critical, please take it as constructive. They stick out too far. I think a spacer in the 1.75-2" range would look MUCH better

The spacer is a 1.25"...1.75"-2" would make it stick out further.

You're right...they stick out a little too far for my liking too, and I may drop the spacer down to a 1", but I'm not going to get them in much more.

They are way too far out, you'll get more inner room with tubular LCA's so that you can run a smaller spacer.

Are the LCA's really the hold up at this point to tucking 335's?

Look good but IMO also they do stick out a bit to far.

So did I with no modification at all. But his are 17x13 so those two extra inches is why he had to do all that.

I'm strongly thinking about it...spacers are cheap. We'll see how it goes with this set up.

i think they stick out too far. but i dont think tubular lca's only will get you the clearance you need. neither will offset lca's or smaller spacers. if you want em flush or tucked in barely, you'll have to minitub. ask me how i know.

18x12's

and im sure its common knowledge that 335's fit fine on 17x11's with a little bfh-ing. good luck on the project man. keep us updated

Agreed. Too far out and also too much fender gap. These cars look great pushing the limits of the fenderwell. I do not understand why so many posters here want to make their cars look bad by exceeding the limits of the vehicle. Mini tub or buy a vette if you want a fatter rear.

The rear fender gap is very large. What's going on there? Even a stock spring shouldn't produce that much.
