Default Race Star "F body specific" wheels........

So much for being F body specific... i put them on and they are grinding on the rear calipers (i have yet to try the fronts, no tires yet) Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Time to get the grinder out

Anyway, they do look badass

I had to lightly grind them on the rears but not the fronts.

What size Hoosiers are you two running? Both look awesome. Any inner/outer fender modifications required?

Yeah, the rims are 15X2.5 and 15X10.. I already have front studs and McGard lugnuts, i was running weld drag lights a few years back, i still need to pick up tires for the front.

After an hour of "strategic weight removal" the wheels finally fit. I love the way these look, just make sure you or someone you know has a trusty dewalt angle grinder

What part of the caliper did they hit? I only had a slight rubbing issue which 5-10 minutes of grinding per side solved.

It was hitting ever so slightly on the front top of the caliper itself and hitting pretty good on the 3 "ribs" on the back.

Yes, on the Racestars you have to grind the cooling veins on the backside of the caliper. I get at least 1 PM a week asking about them lol.

My racestars spun freely but you could hear it slightly rub in 1 spot. I just hit the high spots of the calibers, took no time at all.

That's the tire I ended up putting on my RTS wheels. I daily drive the car and, so far, so good. Of the cheaper frontrunners I have looked at, these seem to be better quality as compared to some others. Still probably not as good as an M/T, though.
