I see those now the XS series. they have great reviews.

You think they'll fit width wise?

Ill bet no one can answer the question due to:

A- Not exactly sure what he wants in width and height.

B- Not many people have went to smaller tires on stock 16's

My input, 245/45-16 its 9.6" wide and 24.6 tall, almost 2" shorter than stock, but still as wide or wider than the stockers.

If you are mostly interested in handling, I would worry less about sidewall height, than I would about tire construction. A crappy tire with a shorter sidewall will not be as good as a stock sized tire of better construction.

after some more searching my recommendations are a nitto nt01 in 245/50, toyo r888 in 255/50 or the kumho ecsta xs in the 265/45.

Thanks man....i'll keep thos in mind. I have to agree they are the most worthwhile choices. with good reputation. Im going to try to find pics for the 245/50 or 245/40....to see just how horrible it is....due to these pansys crying and whining on how daffy duck inconceivable it would be to keep the stockers or to desire to stuff them as best you can for 1 more round.

Hey thanks...I been doing some research and this point was made quite a few times as well....the shorter the sidewall does not make for handling it's the rigidity......some of the reading brought me right back to the F1's i currently run. And am definitely appreciating them some more even if this is their last or second to last run.

if you wanna keep stocks there is nothing wrong with it. thats your opinion! no harm there.

245/40 is not enough sidewall on a 16 inch rim. it will look goofy as heck! here are pics of the sidewall on a 245/40

ya ya its on an 18" rim but that dont matter. the sidewall would be the exact same on a 16 inch rim

I run 205/40/16 on my salad shooters...but they're not on an F-body.
