Default 315 Proxes TQ on a 10.5" rim? Or any other options?

I have 18x10.5" Speedline C5 Z06 rims on my Trans Am. I am currently using Nitto Invos in a 295/35/18 size. They are a good all around street tire, but I need something that will hook a little better. I was hoping I could find a Nitto NT05R for my 10.5" rim, but doesn't look like it will happen.
So I have narrowed down to a BFG drag radial in a 295/35/18, or a Toyo Proxy TQ in a 315/35/18 size. What do you guys think? Will it look funny in a 10.5" rim?

A 10.5" wide wheel is the recommend minimum wheel width for a 315 width tire, so you're good-to-go!

I have the 315 TQ's on my 18x10.5s, the sidewalls do bulge a little, but I think they look great. They hook pretty good for me on the street, although I'm only at 430 wheel.

Those do look good! How do you like the tire on the highway?

So most websites are backordered on these. I found some Mustang shop and placed the order through them. Hopefully they aren't backordred.

If they are backordered..what do you guys think of this plan. The Nitto NT05R in a 305/45/18? I know its a much taller tire..Will it be too tall for an f-body?

Ok that shop called me and let me know the tires are back ordered.. So how about these NT05Rs in the 305/45/18 size..Its a 28.9" tire. Too tall? I most likely know the answer, but I am asking anyways lol.

Yea I kind of figured, plus it will mess with my gearing too much. I dont have enough power or gear to handle a 29" tire .

You can get a nitto 555r in a 305/35/18, that would've been my next choice if discount tire wasn't able to get the TQs.

I drove the TQs on my car from TX to MN, rode great the whole way no complaints.

I have considered getting the Nittos NT555rs, but at $290 each its hard to justify that much money for what is considered to be one of the least "sticky" drag radials.

Mickey Thompson also has a 305/35/18 in their ET street radial II, a little higher dollar though.

Edit: Just googled it and found them for $300 a tire with free shipping at a few places, so they really aren't much more than I thought.
