Default Opinions on Micky thompson tires

What are your latest opinions of Micky Thompson ET Street Radials? I am thinking about getting a pair and would like experiences for quality, roundness, balance and general life

i get (if im lucky) 3k miles out of a set and im not that hard on tires, 555r will go for about 20k miles on my car. they drive fine if its dry but they will make ur butt hole tight any time there is any water on the roads. imo if ur car is basically a street car that sees vary little track time dont buy them if u only want to drive to and from the track and or to go play really hard on the street on the weekends they might be ok. i drive my car to much to injoy buying 4-6 200$ tires a summer and really the 555rs work good for me.

I ran them for years on my old Formula. They balanced up nicely on my Greg Weld wheels. I ran the 275 50 R15s, 275 60 R15s, 325 50 R15s and the 255 50 R16s all with great success at the track and they were decent on the street. I got about 5000 miles/set out of them. The drawback is that they are heavy. The M&H versions are much lighter and also perform well....They M&H's cost more though.

I daily drive on my 325/50/15s...For the track I use a 28X13.5 Bias Ply...I love um. Iv used Hoosier Radials, and buddies have had Nittos..I still like Micky Ts the best.

I love mine...I had 315/17's and now 295/15's. Before that I ran Nitto DR's. Like said earlier- Nitto's made about 15K miles- my M/T's(17's) had ~3500 on them when I went to 15's...but they would've made 7000 miles easy. But the difference in traction was night and day. Mickeys outright hook. Nitto's are a better choice for a true daily driver IMO, but a weekend warrior/strip car- Mickey's all the way for me.
