Default 275/40/17 ET Streets

Curious about what these tires are capable of, being that its a stock size with small sidewalls. I posted this in the wheels and tires section but didn't get many hits. I think the drag set-ups aren't as popular there. What kind of 60 ft are these capable of? What pressure produces the best launches? Im curious bc the sidewall is still pretty small.....Anything has to be better then the Nittos I'm replacing. Although they have cut a best of 1.69 60 ft. The pictures of these two tires next to each other shows I'm going to be gaining at least a full inch or more or tread

Yeah Im gaining some tread width.

First impressions on the street.....WOW, these tires hook.

Vs equally modded M6 with 315 Nittos

Vs H/C/I 6.0 with ET Streets.......did I say these tires hook????

I've had these tires on various 4th gen Fbodies in different drivetrain config.

383 LT1 A4- First run 16" M/T, Small stall, Small gear, Small Cam. Bogged at the track it hooked so good, needed different Stall/Gearing but sold the car, Liked them

346 LS1 M6- 4.10's, Stock cam, and 228/230 setups, 17" M/T and w/o line lock I could not side step, the car would hook, added line lock on stock cam and hooked good. Put the cam in and went to the Spin/Bog situation. Spins/Hooks on the street too. Wore Quickly

** Same car, went to a 15" ver. and similar results. More sidewall and fun to drive for the most part.

For a DR, I would buy this again, but with the m6 it needs to Bias Ply, in which I swap to M/T ET DRAG and be done with it.

Much better than the Nittos, I would say mid 1.4s are very attainable with the right suspension setup. I ran those exact tires for a long time and loved them every minute.

Stock Bilstien/Eibach suspension as came from SLP. It does have some non-adj LCAs, panhard and relo brackets. I relocated the stock torque arm off the trans as well.

Damn sure agree with that. But the mileage on the Nittos is unsurpassed by a DR.

Late response but the tires work great. I air them down to around 13-14 PSI(before burnout) and I've cut a 1.56. This is in a stock suspension C5(well it's lowered lol), 3.15 gears just a 150 shot off the line and the stall.
