Nitto 555 tires good?

Great street tire. My friend had good success with the standards on the rear in bolt on form but keep in mind past probably 12.5 1/4 mile range your going to want a DR if you expect consistent hooking at the track or want it to plant on the street.
I run the standard triple nickles up front and the Rs out back. 1.61 60fts with consistent 1.61-1.63s run after run on stock saggy IRS GTO suspension, too narrow for them stock 8" wheels, and a 4,300 stall converter on a big cam mid-high 11 second car.
Heres a video when I was bolt-ons (12.28 1/4) hooking them in street digs.

As far as the people that say "they suck!", is usually the Indian, not the Arrow if you know what I mean. That or they expect their 10 second or low 11 car to dead hook on the street on them in 275 form or some ridiculous expectation.

I said they suck because they do if you make any power. . Had em on my ZO6and Bird in the past. Mickey T seems to be the only tire that will hold a 200 shot out of the hole..As for the street, Mickey Ts still are the best for hooking. I ve had the NTO5R as well .. Still liked the ET Streets better..So go ahead and keep hooking with that 12.28 car with 555Rs.

Thats too bad. All that money and you travel around with 2 old ugly chicks eh?
Maybe list some more SOLD! cars in the sig and put some more "dope" to those sticky Mickys you jock and it might bring out some better looking younger fare for you.

You dont pimp **** small fry. Go pump your 200 shot of "dope" into your N/A 12 second me too mobile and pound chest while your block lasts.
Let me guess, "bro it'll take it aallllllllllllllllllllllll day!"
!!!!!
Welp that settles it. If a tire isn't capable of 1.60 or lower it "sucks".

Random question on these: I'm debating between the 555R and the 555 for the rears (315/35R17's). I go to the track maybe 2-4 times over the course of a year. I drive the car only when it's nice out, but would like some good wet traction if it comes down to it. I'd like the tires to last as well. How much less mileage am I looking at with the 555R versus the 555?
Currently I have bald Sumitomo's so anything will be better....
