Default Nitto 555 too much wheel spin :(

I just bought a pair of NT 555's for my 2000 camaro ss M6
tire specs are 275/45/17
i mounted them on the stock camaro SS 17" wheels
i dont know why but i just cant race with first gear
the car spins too much
my modz are heads/cam/boltons 424 whp
i want to street race at 20 mile rolling race and i cant
i must be in 2Nd gear and 45 miles + rolling races so i can avoid crashing from too much wheel spin.
whats the problem? the tires are brand new
does it have to do with the pressure of the air in the tires?
i have mine at 25 psi
should i lower it? and would i be able to drive it everyday if its below 25 psi?
thanks

your first problem is a 275 street tire trying to hold down 425hp...

Did you get the R version? You really need an ET Street Radial to hook from that low of mph. Take a look at this:

The regular 555 is just a street tire. Its not gonna hook at a low mph with your HP level.

A stock Ls1 would be too much for that 275 tire, and now you have 424 rwhp with mods. Tire pressure does help but it can only do so much. Time to go 315 amigo.

^No sir I think you need at least a 10.5-11" wide wheel to fit safely and properly.

450$ is a ripoff for 275s .... even in Kuwait. Its time to replace your rims, and wheels. You can always check for other brands. Easy on the launch man.

Yep that's racing. Spending money I don't have, on parts that I don't need, to impress people I don't know. Didnt you guys get a 1500KD gift from your president? not so long ago? that's around 5300$ btw...

Try the Nitto NT05R or the Mickey Thompson ET Street radials. Or switch to an automatic.

the 315 555R drag radial runs a little narrow but it is still not really that safe to put on a 9.5 tire. almost all the other nittos do not run narrow like that.

for comparrison look up the 555 and the 555 R in the same 315/35/17 sizes the 555 is about 12.6 tread witdth and the 555R is like 12.2 or something like that.

Should have gotten the nitto 555r's. Mine hook good from a 25-30 roll. Not so good off the line. They cut me a 1.78 60ft at the track.
