Default Serious questions about Torque Thrust II's

Wheel=17x9.5 American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels

What is the largest tire I can put on them?
Can I safely go larger than 275/40/17?
Could I go larger with maybe a 285, 295, or a 305?

I just don't want a cuped look to them like my friends front Z06 wheels have.

Thank you in advace to those that reply, I have read the info on tires on here, but I need to know this answer, I want the tire as wide as possible without looking stupid and hanging out, basicly fitting the wheel nice.

Please take this serious because it is serious, and if you can find a link that will answer the question please give that.

Thank You Kevin.

I am going to get the 285s if it will fit, and they don't even make 305/40/17. :haha:

The 285 will fit perfectly on a 9.5" rim. My 275s fit perfect on my 9" rims.
