Default Another 17 x 11 thread

Hi everyone,I know there has been a lot of threads with 17 x 11 wheels and all that(I even started one of them)But I was just about to order a chrome set for my "99" SS and I started realizing that it seems that everyones car with them on the rear is lowered.

So what I am looking for is pictures of the 17x11(315/35/17) on NON-lowered Camaro's
I definitely will not lower my car.It just seems that the one or 2 pictures I found not lowered, seemed to make it look like the wheels stuck out?Any help given I would really appreciated as Im anxious to order(whether they be 17x9.5 or 17x11)Thanks everyone.Jennifer

Its an optical illusion - on a stock-height car, you can see more tread on the top which gives the impression they're sticking out past the fender

Only pics I have are a 2" lowered TA...

IMO they look better on a lowered car
otherwise they do tend to look 4x4 ish

Do you mean that for just the 17x11's or the stock size as well?

Dont see how a 17x11 could look more 4x4 then 17x9..

They should fit on a TA with 315's without modding furter on stock height I hear.

Im currently just runing a 285 in the rear, gives it a better stance imo.

Very nice! The rear wheels look pretty flush as well. Are you lowering it or are you happy with it the way it is?

Thanks, I like how it looks but the front sits a little high for my taste and I already have a set of stranos from my last car so they are eventually sering their way to the ss

they did (eibachs), Firehawks and SS Camaros

GM did the 4x4 stance to keep these cars from bottoming out
when used for DD status
