CTS wheels on a 4th gen?
Noticed some of the nicer CTS wheels on Craigslist for a good price $1100 w/tires zero miles) so I yanked one off the wife's car to see if it would fit - looks really cool. The Camaro hub is slightly larger and it looks like longer studs are required. Anyone do this or have any advice? Thanks!

The wheels are bigger - 18" x 8.5", American made!, same 120MM (4.75") pattern, smaller hub size 67mm vs 70mm on the Camaro, but there is a pronounced lip in the wheel should be easy to trim. 6 5/8 back spacing. Has a very euro look to it on the Camaro. If I have room I will use the Eibach spacers which have a "hub lip" and machine the lip down to fit these wheels. The tires are 235/50/18 Michelins - not as big as I though they were, but they do seem to fill out the wheel well.
I picked them up at lunch, worst case I put them on my CTS and sell the set off the car that has 30,000 miles on them.
Will save my "big tire envy" for the Sunoco '95 we are building and get some nice CCWs!

Here they are - actually a different look. People are confused by the car - it looks like a new factory car, but they can't place it. These wheels are the CTS "premium" rims from a 2009. 2007 or earlier use a smaller bolt pattern, but I think 2008-2012 are the same.
We installed a Pro-Kit, tried the 18" wheels (from Craigslist) and the height was too much so we swapped the tires for 40s. The hub diameter issue is the same as Corvette rims, but these wheels had a "lip" which we removed and then they fit perfectly. More of a BMW look than a road racer - but the road racer is in the works with a different car.

Thanks - I wish they had made these wider, maybe Vette style with larger rear wheel, but even so I think it "freshens" the car's appearance so that it no longer looks sixteen years old.
There are many difference categories of Camaro customization – road racer (Sunoco), drag racer, pro-street, custom, etc., and they all have their place. I would call this just an upgraded stock appearance.
